Beyond the Classroom

Homeschooled Doesn't Mean Isolated

One of the biggest concerns parents have about homeschooling is social development. At Brookwood, we've built a rich community life so your child thrives academically and socially.

Virtual Study Groups & Peer Collaboration

Students work together in small online groups — sharing ideas, debating topics, and building the communication skills that universities and employers value.

Co-Curricular Activities & Competitions

Debate clubs, Football tournament, science fairs, creative writing contests, chess tournaments, and coding challenges — students compete, create, and shine beyond coursework.

Regular Virtual Events & Community Days

End-of-term showcases, talent shows, parent-student assemblies, and guest speaker sessions — we celebrate every achievement as a community.

Co-Curricular Activities Are Included for Full-Time Students

Part-time tuition students can join selected clubs and events at no extra cost. We believe a well-rounded child is an exceptional one.

Yes. Homeschooling is legal in Kenya under the Basic Education Act. Parents are required to register with the County Education Board and ensure their child is accessing a recognized curriculum. Brookwood guides every family through this process — we handle the paperwork guidance so you don't have to figure it out alone.
Yes. Cambridge IGCSE and Pearson Edexcel qualifications are recognized by the Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) and accepted by major Kenyan and East African universities as alternative entry requirements. They are also fully accepted by universities in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and across Europe.
Absolutely. Many of our students attend regular schools but join Brookwood for specific subjects — commonly Maths, Sciences, or English — where they need a specialist teacher or a higher level of preparation. We offer per-subject enrolment with no minimum commitment beyond one term.
Cambridge and Pearson exams are sat at registered examination centres. We guide every student through the registration process and connect them with an approved centre near their location. The exams are pen-and-paper, held in May/June and October/November each year. We prepare students thoroughly for both sitting periods.
That's one of the biggest advantages of Brookwood. Because everything is delivered virtually, your child can continue their education from anywhere in the world with a stable internet connection. We have students in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, the UK, and beyond — all learning together in the same virtual classrooms.
Transparency is central to everything we do. Every Friday, you receive a written progress report covering what was taught that week, your child's assessment scores, teacher observations, and specific recommendations for the week ahead. After every exam or mock, you receive a detailed debrief with strengths highlighted, improvement areas mapped out, and a learning curve showing your child's performance trend over time. You also have 24/7 access to our parent portal where you can view grades, attendance, and upcoming topics at any time.
We offer several enrolment options to suit different family needs. Full-time homeschool programmes start from KES 15,000/month. Per-subject tuition starts from KES 5,000/month. We offer monthly, termly, and annual payment plans. Sibling discounts apply, and our Parent Referral Programme lets you earn tuition credits. View the full breakdown on our Fees page.
